*UPDATE* Second Chapter Zoom Quiz - Wednesday 16th March 2022 for Comic Relief

Updated: Mar 23, 2022

By Heather McKinlay

*UPDATE* We raised an amazing £170 from our quiz, so thank you to all those who took part! There is still time if you would like to donate, simply click the Just Giving link below.

Red Nose Day is back, and we can’t wait to get involved in the fun! On Wednesday 16th March, and the team here at Second Chapter will be hosting an online quiz for Comic Relief, raising money as part of the Big Red Nose Day Get Together.

The event takes place ahead of Red Nose Day, which will be held on Friday 18th March, to raise money for projects and organisations across the UK and around the world, including support to people currently affected by the Russian invasion in Ukraine.

We always try to put people at the heart of what we do, and holding a quiz for Comic Relief is a brilliant opportunity to reflect that. It’s the perfect combination of bringing people together for a bit of fun, while raising money to help people facing poverty, violence or discrimination.

Second Chapter is still under 12 months old, so this is the first event of its kind that we have held. We will also be putting forward a prize for the winning team, so that all the money donated for the event goes directly to Comic Relief.

If you are interested in donating or signing up for the quiz please do so via our JustGiving page: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/rednoseday22-second-chapter-lt.

We will be hosting the quiz over Zoom at 7:30pm and you can join the quiz as a team of up to 5 people, the suggested donation is £5 per team.

When you make your donation, please select the option to share your contact details so that we are able to send you the Zoom link and participation details. We won't use your contact details for any other purpose.

We’re fundraising for Red Nose Day because...

• £5 could pay to get 20 meals to vulnerable children and families in the UK

• £10 could provide 20 reading books for children in community learning centres in Northern Uganda, where free pre-school services are very limited

• £20 could provide a supportive coffee morning for families in the UK to share advice on caring for their child’s mental health

• Don’t forget to tick the Gift Aid option, if you can, so Comic Relief can claim an extra 25% from the government.

From us and everyone at Comic Relief, thank you.
